ABOUT THIS RECIPE
Here is an easy to make low fat recipe for dogs that still has a balance of the essential good fats to keep your dog healthy. If your dog is overweight, please do consult your vet before changing their diet as there could potentially be underlying health issue.
There’s no one set amount that we can say to feed your dog as each dog is different in breed, age, activity levels, these all affect how many calories your dog needs to eat daily. Here is a rough guideline below. The key points to look at are portion control, exercise, being careful about treats as some are high in calories, incorporating a slow feeder so it take them longer to eat, and sometimes rather than 2 meals a day, smaller portions fed throughout the day can help.
But we do recommend check with your vet before changing your dog’s diet and about the best way for your dog to loose weight.
