Doggy Carrot Cake

---

ABOUT THIS RECIPE

Hey there, fellow dog moms and humans! Since it's both Mother's Day and Dog Mom's Day, we thought we'd whip up a special recipe that you and your furry companion can both enjoy: a deliciously healthy carrot cake that's safe for dogs to eat. And the best part? We've got not one, but two frostings—one for you and one for your pup!

We've left out any added sugar or dairy from the cake mix, using oat flour instead of wheat to make it extra dog-friendly. And we've thrown in some coconut oil for its MCT powers—helping with digestion, cognitive health, and giving your pup's coat some extra shine. Plus, we've included fresh ginger for its anti-inflammatory benefits, carrots for their beta-carotene goodness, and eggs for a protein-packed punch.

So why not celebrate Mother's Day and Dog Mom's Day with a tasty treat that both you and your furry bestie can enjoy? Woof woof, let's get baking!

○ COOKING TIME:
○ SERVING: makes 8 cakes

INGREDIENTS

Cakes:
[1 ½ cups] Grated Carrots
[2] Large Eggs
[1 cup/200g] All Natural Apple Sauce
[1 cup/250g] Oat Flour
[½ tsp] Cinnamon Powder
[1 tsp] Grated Ginger
[⅓ cup/700ml] Melted Coconut Oil

Dog Frosting:
Natural Greek Yoghurt
Any dog friendly treats on top (I add a little piece of our Migos Dog beef jerky and some blueberries)

Mom Frosting:
[1 tsp] Lemon Zest
[½] Block of Cream Cheese
[1 cup] Powdered Sugar

PREPARATION

Step 1.
Preheat oven to 350°f/180°c

Step 2.
Combine the eggs, oil, grated carrots, grated ginger and applesauce together and beat well.

Step 3.
Sift in the flour and cinnamon, stir to combine.

Step 4.
Spoon mixture into the cup cake cases and pop into a pre heated oven for 25 minutes or until firm, leave to cool.

For the dog frosting I just like to use plain Greek yoghurt as it’s full of great
probiotics for dogs gut health. You can then add another treat on top if you want.

For “Moms” frosting, simply sieve the powdered sugar on top of the softened
cream cheese, then beat all the ingredients together. Smooth a spoon on top of your cup cake and add any topping you want for yourself!
